If you find this perfect product, let us know. I'm sure that most of us would add it to our product list.

Usually, stuff with a good margin comes in one or more of three flavors:
    - Reaping the benefits of an economy of scale or a monopoly
    - First movers' advantage before a race to the bottom
    - Novelty and good marketing

If you don't have a lot of capital, you'll need to do good product research or put effort into making something people want. For instance, you could buy an order of mugs with a unique design you've made yourself and then sell them on an e-commerce market.

Better yet, you could get your own site running with webstore software, like Shopify. You could then advertise this mug to specifically targetted people with a pay-per-click campaign. For instance, people who have certain interests on Facebook (ideally, an interest relating to the mug's design).

(Btw, we sell such imprinted stuff wholesale at decent prices for resale, from flasks to apparel.)
I work for AnyPromo. We sell promotional products.

If I could do it all again I would sell B2C products (business to customers) think sunglasses, toilet paper, etc. Anything that everyone could use.

some of the "internet marketing gurus" usually say to sell digital products because there is no inventory - but I'm not sure how well they sell...
