What all features should I look for while evaluating a shipping app? I am new to this

Since there are a few shipping apps that offer the same basic features (postage and label printing,tracking orders,return labels),that help you manage the process it becomes more difficult to get one that is apt in every aspect. kindly provide feedback on this it would be a real aid to me.

Start with what features you are looking for. What are you shipping? Where are you shipping it? What apps have you looked at already? What were they lacking that you needed? What ecommerce program are you using, or how are you selling the product?

You have to give us specifics on what you already have, need or are looking for and maybe someone will have a suggestion.

A nice ship history option.

For us, being able to search a customer name is more important than a tracking number. Also that they hold onto this information for a while. Some of my customers will not open the box and realize a mistake for a couple months.
