    Default Company Logo

    Hi,

I have just started my business, we develop business solutions using Microsoft Excel. We have a company design a logo, and my partner and I disagree about the quality of the logo. Just curious to hear some opinions.

Thanks very much for your help,

    Casey.

I like it. The graphic fits the name. I personally don't like the color green, but that's just me. Also the font is questionable. Do you have a larger version?

I agree with you about the font, that's one revision we will be making.

Unfortunately not, we only have a lower resolution image at this point.

Thanks very much for your input.

Not a fan of it. Sorry. It just seems very amateurish.

I also typically do not like "literal" logos beyond, say, a heating and cooling contractor spelling "heating" in flames, and "cooling" in ice.

Looks home-made, not something that was done with a professional designer.

Not a big fan either. Maybe try using the double "e" in "geek" as glasses by connecting them with a bar, then add eye brows above them, with the smile and bow tie underneath.
    But in a different font.

You may also want to check that using "Excel" is not a trademark infringement. Especially since you are specializing in it.
If you were a fruit stand you could probably get away with it.

I agree with the above, you probably can't use that word as a trademark.
To guide you a bit more on the logo, you need to simplify it, and make it a bit stronger. Right now you have too many elements in the logo. The bow tie, the glasses, the smile, then you have the text coming out from the brain of the dude. Simpler is better. One focal point element in the logo, and that will make it memorable.

Not a big fan of the logo/font myself either...Some food for thought - What happens when you grow beyond solutions that require Excel?

And yes, as Harold recommended, check with an Intellectual Property Attorney before using Excel in your name so you don't have to repeat this entire process X year(s) form now if/when Microsoft comes after your company.

I like the general idea but not the final details like font or how the graphic it´s finish
