    Default WordPress and downloadable PDFs

    Hi,

This is probably a dumb question and there's likely a super easy answer. Oh well.

I would like to have on my Word Press website a PDF that is downloadable by anyone visiting the website.
Is there an obvious way I haven't figured out yet?

    Thanks!

Not sure how to use that. I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

But I did just now figure out I can use Media and upload the PDF, then link to it. That looks like that might work the way I want. Before, the only media I uploaded were photo images.

As long as it is somewhere accessible on the internet, all you need to do is link to it. The user's browser will recognize that it is a PDF file and download it.

There are lots of ways to get it accessible on the internet. You can upload it to your Wordpress installation through the media feature on the dashboard, as you discovered. You can upload it to your hosting account via FTP. You can put it in a cloud storage like Dropbox or Google docs.

Ohhhhh, I hadn't realized that's what Dropbox was. Thanks so much!
