Forgetting is not the way to be friends with the IRS for you guys in the US.
In Australia for sole proprietor's and many other businesses quarterly is a requirement, i think you need to be turning over in excess of 2 million to get a choice, and i am not even sure if that is the actual or only requirement. Thankfully, it is just one form, every quarter and i am now setup to do mine entirely online, which makes it a lot easier
