    Default 2010

So with 2010 coming around, the infamous question comes up... how are you going to say it.

"Twenty Ten" OR "Two Thousand Ten".

By 2020 I feel most will say "twenty twenty" because of the show 20/20 which probably has geared people to saying it by then.

So what will you be saying in a few more days?

Good question - I already changed my mind since I responded. I guess I'll have to wait and see what feels right.

I think that we should actually figure out the measurements of time that make up a Stardate.
For now I'll say Two Thousand Ten.

I think most may still say two-thousand ten for awhile, but twenty ten is just so much shorter. Saying years like "nineteen twenty" made sense, and I don't think people would have wanted to say "one thousand, nine hundred, and twenty years."

I personally will refer to the year as 2010, and tend to do so unless referring to a joint year like 2009-2010.

I think that twenty ten will win out, for the primary reason it is shorter and easier to say for one. The other reason is that many government and other parties have already almost cause it to be the probable default, by calling different things like twenty twenty summit, and such the number of different future planning things that have occurred and used this as their name is quite high.

I voted for "Two Thousand Ten," but after reading others' posts I agree it'll soon be "Twenty Ten."

So most think it may be "two thousand and ten" for awhile, until we are brainwashed to all go with "twenty ten"...

I was all set for two thousand ten, and that's how I voted, but after reading the thread now I'm changing my mind. Evan's right we never said one thousand nine hundred and eighty, so it's logical we'd say twenty ten.

    Now I'm all confused.

I've been calling it twenty-ten in my head for weeks now. I hope that's what it goes towards because it just sounds funny the other way...
