Remember... You get what you pay for!

What is it that you're selling?

Ya know... most marketing is still done "offline." And social media is just a tool in the toolbox.

It's definitely the way to go. In real estate, Baby Boomers and Millennials make up the two top spots for home buyers. And for Millennials especially, social currency is more important than ever, but it will depend on the industry, the audience, the message and the product of course. All of these factors can be spot-on, but if one's off, the whole effort is shot.

Social media marketing can be successful to some extent. There are of course some powerful ways to reach potential prospects like through Facebook ads and banner advertising.

Using ONLY social media is like saying I'm only going to use billboards, or only going to use newspapers. To say you're only going to do one kind of promotion is a disaster waiting to happen. First and foremost, you don't own social media. It's not yours, it's someone elses website. Should they change rules, policies, pricing or anything else..if that's your only resource then your business lives or dies dependent on what someone else does.

Never let anyone or any entity have that much control over the survival of your business.

THe only exception ( maybe) is if you have a product or service that is 100% about or depend on one platform or another. Such as a new Twitter app, or Facebook game , or some kind of social media marketing services.

Yes, social media marketing has much importance for free yet effective ads. But, we can still overlook the importance of commercial TV ads and billboards (of course they are not free). Selection of promotional alternative depends on the size of your business much.

Just imagine the scenario of ten years later, I honestly don't think there would be any business who won't use social media marketing for their business. I wanna say SMM is the future of online advertising.
