    Couldn't have put it better.

We were thinking about running a Marketing Campaign on Reddit but realized the types of users vs product offered didn't align as well.

If you're going to use Reddit for marketing, LEGIT ADS THAT YOU PAY FOR ONLY.... unless you're on a subreddit that is specifically designated for advertising posts / allows advertising. Check the rules for that subreddit. For example, my state has a subreddit where you can advertise on it if you're a local business.

Reddit doesn't allow explicit promotion. If you do this, you will be banned. What you can do is to publish an article somewhere, e.g. on Medium or Blogger and then submit it to Reddit.

Reddit is very difficult to run ads on due to the general persona of itís user base.

If your heart is set on it, I would find the community board similar to what youíre promoting and making a general post to gain traction.

Reddit is a good platform to market but the there are two things that you should keep in mind. The first is that reddit does not provide do follow links making it difficult for any company to get a high DR. The second issue is that reddit has a high DA & DR making it the most highly busy traffic site which could make it difficult for your brand to be recognized and marketed.
