You're asking too general a question for us to really be able to answer. Submitting to Google and Bing will have little to no impact on where your pages appear in search results. What else have you done?

Right now your site has very little content on it. I would recommend more.

How have you tried to promote it so far? Have you told people you know about it? Have you connected with people through social media? Have you tried advertising?

A lot of marketing is about matching what you're selling with people who would be interested in buying. You have to figure out who those people are and then figure out where they spend time so you can spend time there too.

If you can let us know what you've tried so far, I'm sure we cane help with suggestions.

Like I said, I don't think we can teach you everything about search engines and marketing in a single thread. However, we can point you to some resources to help you learn. I think The Beginner's Guide to SEO from Moz.com is a good place to start. If you read through it, you should have a good idea what to specifically learn next.

With Facebook and Twitter and any other social site you can't just promote your site. You have to figure out a way to attract people to your Facebook page or to get them to follow you on Twitter. Think about who would make a good potential customer for your business and then think about other interests they might also share. Instead of thinking how can I promote on Facebook and Twitter, think about how you can contribute to both. Share things you read. Post things that interest you. Look at people who are popular on both sides and see what they do.

Your business offers chat rooms to people. I think it's going to be hard to convince people to use your chat service because there are already so many other services that offer the same thing. You have to come up with a reason why someone should use your service instead of say We Chat. What is it you offer that other chat services don't? If you can find something that's what you want to promote.

If you want search traffic you need to create more content for your site. A few pages telling people about your services won't be enough. Can you think of a topic to blog about regularly? Be creative. The company Blendtec sells a blenders. Most people would wonder how could you blog about blenders. They posted videos to YouTube asking will it blend. They toss things like phones in their blender to see what happens. People found that funny and they received traffic. They also ave a blog where they share recipes that can be made in any blender. The idea is to get creative.

Also know it takes time. If you want traffic quickly, you have to spend money advertising. If you don't have the money then you have to spend time and be patient.

Read the guide I linked to. It'll help you understand the basics of search engines and how to gain traffic and it'll help you understand marketing in general too.

    I hope that helps.

SEO is a long play and a tricky one. There are several general rules of thumb to follow that will pay dividends in as early as 3 months if you follow some SEO basics. As vangogh stated, there is far too much to try and explain/teach in regards to SEO here in a thread. My suggestion is in addition to reading around online (such as the beginners guide by MOZ), you should sign up for BrightEdge's free webinars. Being on one of the live webinars will afford you the opportunity to ask all questions you have and get them answered in real time rather than having to wait for responses to questions posted in message boards. Best of luck and remember, SEO is an ongoing practice. You cannot just implement a few tactics into your site and then walk away. You need to be continuously working on and monitoring your websites SEO.

    Hi Shqip,

I would suggest that first you refer to the wiki link:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search...e_optimization

It describes the basics of SEO. There are multiple factors that affect your ranking, traffic to the site, etc. Also - a word of caution - if someone claims to you that you can be on the top of google if you pay them X amount - then instead of giving the money to this company/person - rather go to Vegas and spend it in the casino - you may have a better chance there

In short don't just sit there and expect traffic because that isn't going to happen. Find a way to get out there and show everyone who you and your business is!

You need to focus on the basics first: a fast site, https/ssl, mobile optimized, user friendly.

Then look at your URL structure, does it have a hierarchy/silo? Home, then categories like products and services, then subcategories of products and services, etc.

Like the commentor above noted, create content, share on social media - contact some local newspapers and tell them your story, they are always looking to write about local businesses.

The more you write and the more others write about you, the higher you will rank on search engines.

If you click the first link, then immediately hit the back button to try the second link, this indicates that you were not satisfied with the first result.

Search engines seek the "long click" – where users click a result without immediately returning to the search page to try again.
