Thread: Software Recommendations (payroll, accounting, Credit Card processing)

Default Software Recommendations (payroll, accounting, Credit Card processing)

Currently starting a business and need some software recommendations. The business will at most have 2 employees in addition to the owner. It's a LLC with only 1 manager.

I need recommendations for software that can handle payroll, accounting, and credit card processing.

Of course it can be 3 different vendors or if there is one that can nicely handle all of them, then I'm all ears. Please share your recommendations. I'm also posting this in the start business section.

Quick Books is probably the most popular program that will do what you want. Another option is Sage-Peachtree which is what I use and am happy with.

Check out QuickBooks Online with payroll. You can sign up with QuickBooks Payments for CC processing. Try it for free before committing.

If you are in the UK have a look at GoCardless. It integrates with lots ofcloud software (quickbooks, Xero, Freeagent etc)

I would echo the other suggestions on QuickBooks but choose the QuickBooks Online (QBO) option. Intuit is putting most of their resources into QBO and it has a growing number of fetaures. You can also handle payroll and credit card processing there, so it wraps everything up for you in one tool.

You can also check out WaveApps. They are a free web based accounting package that include what you're looking for.

If you receive payments via their system they take a percentage (that's how they make their money)!

A switched to them about 6 months ago and I'm quite happy!

I use Quickbooks online with payroll, and they do have built in credit card processing as an option. I actually use it to get funds transfers from clients.

For accounting and bookkeeping I use QuickBooks enterprise. It is so far the best software for accounting and payroll management. It has helped my business a lot. I hope it will help you as well.
