These days, unless you’re refreshing your website every two years, it’s easy to look outdated. I know that regularly coming up with funds for a redesign is a challenge – I guess the priority lies in ensuring your website always accurately reflects what you do and highlights what your strengths are. Although I’m a huge advocate for modern easy-to-use sites, if you’re on a budget I suggest you only undergo a revamp if there are fundamental user experience issues that are preventing sales and conversions.

Revamping a website or completely restructuring it depends on the nature of the website or business. I've seen some websites change all the time because there is a creative team behind the scenes keeping the nature of the website up-to date or the business might be changing products or services getting ready for a different season. There are so many reasons why people change their websites but usually it's because they feel they need to, to update new products, services and sometimes engaging materials so returning traffic won't get bored. If you don't feel the need or can't find a reason why you should change your website that means you can manage and like everything currently as is. When it's time to change and restructure you'll know and you can tell based upon your goals and feedback on the nature of the website and its content.
