Automotive Business Idea Validation?

Hello, I'm Jerry and i'm new to this site and I am just getting started on the whole idea of a small business. I was thinking what is your opinion about starting a small repair and automotive repair shop? I am currently living in the east coast of the United States and I need some tips if an automotive repair shop business is a good, lucrative money making business since I'm having a vision of opening one when I am older.

You need to research the market to determine if there is a need, if there is competition, and if you can produce a profit, which none of us can answer for you unless we live in the area you are targeting and have done research into this industry which is extremely unlikely.

It can be. If you are good, honest, reliable, reasonably priced, and a self starter.

You will need the proper licenses and insurances to operate the garage. Not to mention the building, equipment, tools, and diagnostic computers will cost a lot of money. Not trying to dissuade you, I just want to make sure you have as much information as possible.
