    You can also try croud funding for a project that is linked to your current book. I consult for game stores so my product is not "art" and not a candidate for Kick Starter, but if I WERE an artist. I would take my time, create an awesome profile, think through my project for funding, video a presentation and try to gain revenue for further disemenation of my product through thier channels. If its cool enough, it doesnt matter if its funded or not it could get you noticed. Just a thought of a unique way to get it out there.

    After I wrote my second book, I researched how to market it. Backwards, I know. Nevertheless, I was surprised to learn that (real) promotion requires book tours. Fortunately, there are book tours online for shy writers. Either way, expect to pay some impressive fees.
