Default The Power of the Raving Fan...

So what is the power of the Raving Fan?

Have you ever experienced a client that thinks your business walks on water. He/She go out of their way to tell everybody that your business is the best thing since sliced bread. They consider themselves a part of your business and they will do anything to help.

At the time you thought this person was a pain and a busy body that you wished they would go away. They had ideas and always offered solutions to problems you were having within your business. So your raving fan was only interested in doing anything that was needed to help the cause.

    What do you do?

    1) Blow him/her off and place road blocks at every turn...

    2) Embrace his/her enthusiasm...

    3) Ignore this person and pass them off as bad karma...

    4) Do nothing...

If you have another answer beyond my 4 by all means add a new one.

I would like to know what everybody thinks?

    Please join in and post...RR

I get my "raving" fans to put it in writing when they are at their most excited, and place it where it's going to do me the most good. That way their words will help me into the future whether they turn out to be p PIA's or not.

The power of reviews in the right place is strong.

    Reviews are good...

Can you use the Raving Fan to find new clients?

If not what else can you use them for?

If so how would you use them?

    Any comments...RR

Reviews in the right place get you more clients.
You can also make deals with them for discounts or free services for referrals.
I have one client that runs a paid directory for her industry. I give her discounts on work for a continuous free listing as a service provider (the only website service) in that directory.
    It's worth it.

You can start a referral program. Affiliate program.

There's a lot of things you can do. You have to find what works best for you and your business.

Get them to do short video testimonials for your business and post such videos on your website or a squeeze page that you use to acquire new clients. Harold's affiliate program is a really great idea too! 2) Embrace his/her enthusiasm... seems the best way to go as long as the person isn't doing/saying anything about your business that you don't want them to say.
