    Smile Business Partnerships

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, I did not see a designated place to talk about this (unless I overlooked it).

Anyways, I am currently looking for a business partnership for my already established startup; technical or non-technical, I am open to ideas and such.

No, I do not need a business partner. It is more along the lines of I want a business partner. I know I can probably do it myself, but I do have other things going on and as it stands at this moment, I am the only one working towards this huge goal that I have which as you know, can be stressful.

That is why I want business partner. One that can help manage the business and grow the business and of course, I will definitely help you out with any of your business or startup needs as well.

Not only a business partner, but a business partner that I can grow with and build a relationship with (no, not like that). Not rushing into anything here.

I didn't see a question in your so and I'm assuming you want one of us to become your partner. Let me speak for the entire forum when I say, no one here wants to partner with you. We're a discussion forum. We talk business. We ask and answer questions, share ideas and experiences, and just talk to each other.

We'll be happy to help you figure out how to best run your business. If you're looking for advice on how to find a partner, we can offer advice. But we're not here to become part of your business.

If you have a question, please feel free to ask, but do understand this is not the forum to seek a business partner.

I understand that. That is what I wanted, to talk business and look for advice on finding a partner.

Why a partner? Why not hire people to relieve you of specific tasks, either as employees or subcontractors? Of course this will cost money, but if your business idea is good, then you should be able to generate capital by borrowing or getting investors (which could be a reason for wanting a partner -- because they bring capital), or build the business by boot-strapping (re-invest the business's own revenues back into the business).

There are many different business skill sets on here. Almost every type of business and trade. What is the business you are looking for help with? You are not likely to find a "partner" but you will probably find someone with experience in your field who may be useful.

Check out Partners in Demand and BusinessPartners.com.

They look like good networks to help you find a partner. Obviously partnering is a lot more complicating than simply shaking someone's hand and expecting results. Legal documentation and investment are a big part of it, so hopefully you have a good idea of what type of arrangement you are looking to create.

Before you even start thinking about bringing another business partner on board, find out what this legal expert has to say about the pitfalls of partnerships.
