I just started my first business as a side project to see where things would go, and found this forum through a quick Google search.

About Me: My name is Cody, and I am 23 years old. I joined the military at 17 years old and served for four years as a combat medic with 1 tour to Afghanistan with a few missions with an air assault Calvary squadron. After enduring through some times that made me stronger physically and mentally, I left the Army and moved to Florida to start a new chapter in my life. I have a passion for medicine and am attending school with my ultimate goal of becoming an anesthesiologist.

Just a few months ago, I developed an interest in e-mail marketing and affiliate marketing. I am starting to make money from my efforts after trying for so long, but I am losing interest. That's when I decided to start a business with the skills I have learned from e-mail marketing: Website designing, confidence in speaking to potential customers, and graphic design.
I also have gained experience by promoting the current company I work with alongside of my manager. Working with this company, I realized just how important an online reputation can affect your business.

My Business Start-up:I have had patients come into the clinic that I work at and mention that they came because of positive online reviews from sites such as Trip Advisor, yelp, etc.
This started turning the wheels in my head, which made me start an Online Reputation Management Consulting service. With the strategy my service implements, I am able to increase the amount of positive reviews on these public review sites, while simultaneously driving down public negative reviews. The negative reviews that are generated from the customers instead go to the owner of the establishment so that the owner may make adjustments accordingly. I think my service would be valuable because with a spike up on publicity, the business is sure to receive more customers that like to read reviews before making a purchasing decision.

Ah, affiliate marketing. I love it! The problem I see people have with it is... they think it's a get rich quick. It's just like any other business and takes time to build up. But, it's worth it!
