Project is an instructional audio. Working to copyright it.
Was told to go to legalzoom to get this done... but

Question: Is there a faster way to do this? Is there a better way? Is it "OK" to just use legal zoom?

Thank You.

You can file electronically at U.S. Copyright Office (http://www.copyright.gov)

Second, your work is already copyrighted. It had copyright protection the moment you made. Formally registering the work does give you some benefits. The main one is the amount of compensation you can expect from an infringement suit.

As nealrm said, you already have a copyright the instant that a work is created but to get the full benefits of your copyright, you should register it with the copyright office. Filing electronically online is really just as easy as giving the same information to a website like LegalZoom
