I'm new to the whole thing. Does anyone have any articles or other resources that I can read up on? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

A few years ago, one of our former forum members had written a book that I was able to read and provide comments prior to publication... I think it's a great read....

Amazon.com: Surprisingly Simple: Independent Contractor, Sole Proprietor, and LLC Taxes Explained in 100 Pages or Less (9780615158433): Mike Piper: Books (http://www.amazon.com/Surprisingly-Simple-Independent-Contractor-Proprietor/dp/0615158439)

It is a basic book, but I think it covers enough of what you need to know to look further if you have questions.

If you don't want to deal with the taxes or accounting part of the business you could always try to find someone for pretty cheap. I know that when I started my own business that hiring a friend for this part made things a lot easier because taxes can be a little confusing. If you don't have a friend who would be able to do it, I would suggest looking on www.angieslist.com (http://www.angieslist.com) because they could help you to compare accountants or tax professionals. I wish you the best of luck!
