I have the following banners attached to the linked advertising page. It has run for a few days, with no responses. I think the ad can be better. Any suggestions. - THanks

First visually neither ad is doing much for me. If they did manage to grab my attention my first thought would be to think amateur and not something I'd want to click. Both banners are just text on a gradient and they really are going to need to be more to attract attention and entice people to click.

Second with the text here's an easy response to anyone seeing it. They answer yes or no and move on. I understand what you're trying to do, but the question doesn't entice me to click either. In the first ad you say click for results. What results would those be?

Try asking a question that can't be answered without visiting your site.

"Can you remember more details about your living room than these people?"

I'm not suggesting that's the best question, but can you see how it can only be answered by clicking. Think about the banners for those IQ tests. They usually ask if you're smarter than so and so and often list the other person's IQ

Taking a cue from your site you might try a story approach.

When Johnny's house was robbed insurance wouldn't cover most of them since Johnny couldn't remember everything he had. Learn how to prevent that from happening to you.

Again not the best wording on my part, but hopefully you get the idea. You need to make me think there's something on the other side of that banner that I want to see. Right now the wording of the banner doesn't make me want to see what's on the other side. It's simply asking a question I can easily answer without clicking and isn't offering a compelling reason why it should make a difference to me regardless of my answer.

Visually they don't do anything for me either - I'm sure I wouldn't click on them.

You need an image - something that will tie in with the text and grab attention better - really make people curious, or question what actually is in their house.

Have to agree with everyone else that said that these ads did not grab them visually. I also agree with Vangogh's comment that the text isn't doing much for you either.

With something like this, you either have to play on people's fears or pose a question that makes them want to click to see how you can help them.

it shows up great..i love orange...its an attention getter...
.but at a glance i have no idea what you are offering...hv might be unfortunate because alone it means nothing to me, ...maybe a memory course, an hv rehabb, like painting my humvee and listing its contents?
and the inventory part isnt clear either... do you want to sell me home inventory...is it about upgrading my stuff...... are you a de clutterer, a home improver in someway....its just not clear..the message isnt quite there...
.i know one could read down farther and figure it out...but the headline might be all they read, all the further they go...
thats how i critique my headlines anyway... .its a hard job.....
i try and think of it in the customers eyes , her thinking whats in it for me? and if i get tempting enough she might click......my best ones are; a fun place to shop and save money with style....both all about her...

Thanks for the comments everyone. I was trying to go simple with the ads, not sure that it worked well. It think that i will work on improving the text on the smaller banner and keep the background. Given its position on the page, it does stand out. The larger banner I am replacing with something more interesting.

Any suggestions on how to best name a company that takes photos of items in a house to catalog them for insurance purposes. The photo are taken before the items are lost or damaged and are to be used to help with the insurance claim process afterward.

it sounds like an attractive and needed service....plus you already know so many homeowners...so hopefully it will work out...

I agree with adding an image. That will attract more attention.

Beyond that, I would revise the headline and text.

The headline should pose a problem and evoke emotion and curiosity if possible.

The text should be focused on "what's in it for me?"
1. Why should they click?
2. What will they get if they do?
a. Can you offer a free report or video?
