Wordpress - Issues with a plug in

I recently changed the theme on my website and it for some strange reason it is fighting with the All in One SEO plug in.

With the plug in installed and activated, my home page doesn't show the title tag properly. It only affects the home page, all the other pages are working the way they should.

Any clues from the experts on how to fix this because I really do not want to remove that plug in. I know I don't use it properly 90% of the time, but still...

A WordPress question. This one I can answer.

It's a setting in the plugin that overwrites your home page title as well as all your other page titles actually.

Go to Settings > All in One SEO. You'll see a field for Home Title at the top and if you scroll down you can see how the page titles for the other pages are set. Odds are the settings for the other pages happened to match what the theme set those page titles as, which is why you didn't notice a difference, but the plugin likely changes how you had the home page set.
