Looking for an 800 number online to port over to our VOIP service (Nextiva..they can't guarantee an 800 number, like some gamble lol) ...

Who sells these for real? Every place i see online is some scam voip service wanting to sell you their product for XX per month with X minutes, etc... when I just want a phone number, I already have a VOIP service.

Anyone know of how this can be done? The entire process so far has felt like a scam. I just want to have our own number I can port over, not pay some monthly fee for minutes, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Does it have to be a 800 #? A long time ago, I bought a 212 # here: https://212areacode.com/

There were no strings attached. One time fee and you just own the #. They have other area codes too

Yes, it has to be 800. We are with Nextiva and can get a variety of "toll free" prefixes..however we have offices all over california and..frankly..the public is not schooled on any "toll free" prefix, as a rule, except 800 numbers.

Anyone have any clues?
