I recently saw these call buttons on the tables at a coffee shop in my area from syscall and noticed their servers were very fluid with their service. Are these transmitters on tables more effective than having waiters check on tables manually or waiting for customers to call them?

Syscall is one of the more popular brands for the transmitter buttons you mentioned. There are also many other brands as well. I've seen them not only in coffee shops but restaurants and hospitals and bingo halls and casinos.

I own a chinese restaurant with about 10 tables spaced out a bit and my cook is quite loud. You can hear most areas of the restaurant. I want to make it less noisy when my servers are attending the customers. I am thinking maybe these buttons can make things quieter for my place.

Interesting point. I would assume these types of products/bells would not only create a calmer ambience but you would probably save expenses on extra servers with a more efficient system in place. I go to the casino quite often and they have call buttons on every single slot machine and employees come to attend within 30 seconds of pressing them.
