Hey there

I'm in the process of setting up my first US based business and I am looking for a hosted VOIP solution provider.

My main requirements are:
- call quality
- soft phone & desk phone options
- app for iPhone/iPad
- ability to have an inbound toll free numbers as well as geographic numbers
- call routing/forwarding options

My nice to haves are:
- ability to port an international number to the service as well would be excellent for some existing contacts
- ability to record calls (either all or selectively)

Obviously cost is a factor but isn't my priority when selecting a system.

Thank you for your help guys!

I have used and recommend Dialpad (http://www.dialpad.com) (used to be Switch.co).

Twilio is the most powerful tool (https://www.twilio.com/) you can ever use.

The only downside is you need to have someone with coding experience to help you set it up — but once you do, you'll understand the power.

Does anyone know which hosted phone service (if any or do they all do it?) where instead of a recorded greeting, a robot answers the phone and talks to you? Is that what you need Twilio for? Can you set Twilio code up with other hosted phone service providers?

Hosted PBX - aka Hosted VoIP - is a solution that uses your internet connection and the power of the cloud to provide your business with feature-rich voice solutions - usually with more reliability and lower costs. No need to manage expensive equipment or hardware on-site.
