Okay so like I am managing A client a google refuses to work. Basically, I went through the whole set up for my business and even got the address verified. The issue is its not working! When I use the app I get this: 826826
I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. How do I make it work? Did I do it wrong? I followed tutorials online so I couldn't have done anything wrong...

What isn't it doing that you want it to do? What do you mean "When I use the app"? Which app?

I want to make it so when you search "CAUSE Hair Salon" into Google it'll come up on Google Maps and appear on the side of the search. It is not doing that at all. I have done the whole setup process and nothing.

You should also check this out which talks about Structured Data, the schema markup which creates that information. Just merely doing the Google business stuff DOES NOT create that for you.
https://neumarkets.com/structured-data-schema-markup/

More on structured data mark up here:
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/intro-structured-data

You should also know that it isn't promised, especially for a new business without a lot of presence online, weak SEO, and so on. Companies with Wikipedia entries, or products in Google shopping seem to always be listed.

Your changes may take up to 3 days to appear.

Have you given it enough time yet?

There are many things you can do to make your Map listing show up in the 3-pack (let's call it 3P). We went to the SMX West seminar in San Jose last March, and much of this is what we learned there.

Remember that Google runs on information -- period. The more information you give it, the more likely your listing will show up in the 3P.

Ask for reviews -- more reviews will get your listing to show up in the 3P for a larger geographical area. As long as you provide good service, your reviews will be 4-5 stars.

Go into Google My Business (GMB) and add more categories. Be VERY honest with your categories, Google knows your pizza business doesn't also sell women's dresses. One or 2 very honest categories are much better than a couple of honest ones and 3 dishonest ones. Never give Google any reason to distrust you.

Think creatively with your categories -- for instance, if you're primarily a pressure washing business, that's what your business IS, so your primary category would be pressure washing -- but also look for categories of what you DO, as in concrete cleaning, roof cleaning, etc.

Here's a (pretty good) basic page (https://synup.com/how-to/add-categories-google-my-business/) on how to add categories in GMB (we are NOT affiliated with them, it's just a good page).

Go into GMB and make posts -- many believe that frequent posts make your business more likely to show up in the 3P, and we have (pretty much) verified that in our business. Not only that, posts allow you to showcase products, events, specials, etc. and only take 5 minutes to make a post. What if you sold a $5000 bike just from someone seeing your bike-sale post, or what if you got just one lifetime loyal customer from your taking 5 minutes to make a post? Regular posts go away after 7 days, but if you specify your post as an event, they last 30 days. You can add a photo, text, even a link to your website.

Fairly new in GMB is the business description -- fill that up. Tell people what you do, where you do it, etc. Your biz description can be edited any time, otherwise it sits there permanently.

Add photos and ask customers to add photos. Google pays 'way more attention to photos than people realize.

Be sure your profile photo shows what people WANT -- if you're a pizza business, use a photo of a pizza, not the interior of your restaurant. No one cares about the picture on the wall.

Respond to reviews as soon as possible! Get the GMB app for your phone, turn on notifications, and you'll be notified when someone gives you a review.

Answer any unanswered questions -- Google says over 50% of businesses don't answer questions. Would you buy from a business that doesn't answer your questions? You can also ask and answer questions yourself, which basically allows you to develop a Frequently Asked Questions section right on your listing. Brainstorm -- what do people ask about your business?

Oooff, I spent a lot more time on this than I meant to, but hey, enjoy!
