There are no clear cut rules. Depends on who you work for. Some people get paid once a week, every 2 weeks, once a month, quarterly, commission only, stock options...it depends.

Every week or two weeks is common for most hourly and salaried employees. But it's not an official rule.

When I used to work there, in Indiana, our salary was paid weekly. But that was only for the company I worked for, I know that monthly salaries are common there as well.
