I'm currently looking for a company that deals with translations. The currently company I use has been taking too long to just give me a quote on 800 word translations from English to French Canadian.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend some companies that can do various languages? Or do you recommend just finding 1 translator for each language I typically translate to? Open to suggestions.

Have you considered Fiverr? It would be your least expensive option.

I would do cheap and get TWO of them to do it independently, then get them to reconcile any differences.

Hi Woz,

OneHourTranslation.com (https://www.onehourtranslation.com/translation/translation-price). Their pricing ranges from 7 - 17 cents per word.
Straker Translation (https://www.strakertranslations.com/translation-pricing.cfm) out of Chicago. They're pricey 13 - 25 cents per word, but they do good work and can find pros to handle a wide variety of topics.

Not sure if that's in your budget or in line with what you're looking for.

I can't speak for French Canadian, but I can speak in general terms being pretty much bilingual in Spanish and English.

Be very careful that the translator is fluent in French Canadian - not just French. At least in Spanish, every country has different words for everything. What can be a vulgar word in one country may be a food item in another.

I think the best way for this sort of jobs is to leave it to the freelancers. They are usualy fast and eficient in price-quality factor
