I've been running a small unofficial business for a few months now offering a similar product to Rosa Lab's Soylent (https://www.soylent.com/) with a large amount of success so far.

I think it's about time I legitimized my business. I'm ready to take the next steps required, but I have just about no idea where to start. I've spent countless hours researching Oregon food laws, but it seems I'm getting nowhere.

There doesn't seem to be any information I could find on which kind of facility I need to use, whether I need a certain type of certified mixer to mix this food, laws on shipping across state borders, I'm completely lost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You'll want to research the Oregon Department of Agriculture website for regulations and license information.

Here's a good place to start. Oregon Department of Agriculture: Home (http://www.oregon.gov/oda/Pages/default.aspx)

I'm willing to bet that there's an office that you could walk into and ask questions. And I'll bet there's a phone number you can call to find out which office that is.

Sometimes you have to go to where the information or knowledgeable people are to get the specific information that you need.
