I Have been doing SEO on my website since 2 years everything was going just fine, but recently I found that the new visitors figure is going down by 60% in 2 mnth. My question is simple what extra I can do to boost up the new visitors traffic to my website to generate more business

I am not sure what methods you are currently using but I would recommend using social media outlets like twitter and Facebook, if you are not already. Depending on the website you can try youtube videos, forum posts, and submitting your website to stumble upon. Depending on your website type you could possibly be at the point where most of your customers are returning instead of new, although I doubt this. You can use advertising like google ads and other similar options as well. I hope this helps and good luck!

The question you need to ask yourself is, what have YOU done to keep new visitors coming to your website? Are you promoting your website? Are you getting bad reviews (if you're a business)? Are you generating valuable, relevant, shareable content to keep people coming back and for those returning visitors to spread the word about your site and business?

If you said no to any of these questions, you need to get to doing what you need to do to bring in new visitors.

Sounds like you might have been hit by some kind of Google update if the figure has changed so much over such a short period of time. When you say you were 'doing SEO' what exactly were you doing? A lot of advice around the web is pretty wild and there are a lot of things you can do that damage your site in the long run, rather than help it.

Alternatively as Jonathon suggests you may have been getting some negative reviews, or some other similar issue which has hit your traffic.

What platform are you using to track your site's analytics? For SEO, are you working with a third party?

Hi,
Assuming that your content is still of the same quality as it was before, check out the following:
1. Site speed- Slow speeds are a turnoff
2. Mobile responsiveness- The recent algorithm changes crushed the ranks of sites with unresponsive sites, and if your site falls in this category your site might not be accessible to people using mobile phones.
3. You might not be efficiently promoting your content- There have been shifts in the popularity of social media sites, and your audience might have shifted where they 'live' on the internet

Sounds like you've been hit with an update and/or a penalty. Have you been tracking your keyword rankings/ have they dropped?
Have you been using spammy SEO tactics?
Your competitors could've been busy doing great SEO and you've fallen behind. There's a lot of different reasons a sites traffic can decline.

Google use to launch updates regularly and most updates are never informed openly. your website might have been hit by one such update. You have to keep checking SERP ranking, and gather more information from Google Analytics and Web Masters tools to get an accurate fix on the issue. If you had just lost the SERP ranking for a highly competitive keyword (that brought a lot of traffic for you in the past) then the issue might be simple. Otherwise you need to change your SEO strategy accordingly to get back.

You may take help of social networking sites for getting business on site. Social sites have several online visitors that can visit your site if you share your best services and products there. You may also take help of local tv channels, emails, bulk sms, and business listing sites.

If your site isn't mobile responsive, this could really be dragging down the chance of new visitors. Social networking can be a great tool to further promote your site and content that you have featured there, as well as get in touch with an audience you may have lost sight of. Facebook makes targeting extremely easy, if you already know what your audience is.

It's quite a common issue, but the causes can vary largely. With what you have said it's actually harder to even conclude where the issue lies. First check your SEO ranking, traffic of your website will be largely affected by it. If your SERP ranking had gone down then you should think of performing a complete On-page and Off-Page audit to figure out what went wrong. Consider checking the links to your website once more, recently great many fav SEO link directories got hit by Google's updates.

If this is the reason consider disavowing them using Google (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/disavow-links-main?pli=1), this should considerably help you. Besides consider changing your website's contents, just like a Resume on a Job posting site Google trends to pick the most updated links. So keeping your contents actively updated should do you great good in the long run.

However if your SERP rankings are still intact then the overall traffic to the specific keywords might have gone down (which is very rare) so consider switching focus keywords to suit current search engine trends.

Really the first thing would be to improve the conversion rate from your existing traffic, ... ... That is always easier than trying to find new sources.

Second would be to find out WHY visitor numbers have dropped, and where they have dropped from, by identifying the traffic source(s) that have dropped off.

When you have covered both of those you will already know where to start looking for new or better qualified visitor sources, but if you try this step without first dealing with BOTH of the first two, ... ... You are in for one big disappointment at the result and the amount of energy you will have expended.
