Each of the items in the subject line above is often the basis for a lot of questions here. I came across a post. 20 Law-Related Questions Every Blogger Should Know (http://www.blogherald.com/2009/04/20/20-law-related-questions-every-blogger-should-know/), with some answers about each.

Don't let the work blogger in the title of the post mislead you. It's there because the post comes from The Blog Herald, which naturally has a readership of bloggers.

Every one of us has probably had at least one of the questions in the list at one time or another.

A couple of questions about Trademark I found interesting

18) Does a trademark have to be registered to be valid?

No. You can establish a trademark by using it with good faith in the marketplace. However, you are required to register your mark to use the “R” symbol.

20) Is it legal to use a company’s name in a blog title or URL?

Yes, so long as there is no confusion nor any attempt to to use the name and reputation of the trademark to further your own business.

The Q&A in the post is short, but each answer links to further resources for more info.
