I would like to have a website similar to this one where I can post up some vids and pictures with link to fb, instagram, etc. Can anyone please point me in the right direction as to where I can start to even create a site like this? I've been trying to find out what I need to learn and who I should find to help, but it's a bit overwhelming to try and start this since I have no background in creating or running a website, but it's definitely a goal of mine. Can someone please have a quick look at Fit Affinity Fitness - Women's Fitness Clothing , Activewear (http://www.fitaffinity.net) and let me know what it might take to have a website with a similar format?

Thanks!

It's a WordPress theme called Valenti and it's for sale here: WordPress - Valenti - WordPress HD Review Magazine News Theme | ThemeForest (http://themeforest.net/item/valenti-wordpress-hd-review-magazine-news-theme/5888961)

You would need to install WordPress to use it. It's an open source CMS (free) Here's more on what WordPress is: https://wordpress.org/
Many hosts have one click installs of WordPress. You may need some assistance if this is your first time with any of this.

This is my first time and I have no idea where to start, but you have certainly pointed me in the right direction. I will definitely try to learn this before looking into something such as shopify. Thanks!

Awesome! I've been checking out wordpress and actually have a domain name I'd like to use and it's available. I plan on going through hostgator to set up my site and downloading this theme. However, with what I have in mind, it will take a lot of learning and playing around with wordpress. I do plan on having a similar site to the one I posted above, but with a different customer base in mind. I'm trying to learn a little bit more each day. On the site I posted above, how did the creator get all their customer's pictures to be posted on the home page in a gallery? So if I have some customers that buy my stuff, how would I go about starting a gallery like that? It's such a simple question it seems, but it's something I can't find an answer for online yet.

Well, for my website I used Google Sites. I kind of regret it because google sites has lots of issues and problems and there isn't a lot of good support for it! I wish I had gone with Wordpress which seems to be a much more supported and modern website development platform!

That's primarily an eCommerce site that sells stuff online. For that there's nothing better than Shopify. If you need a blog and the CMS features of Shopify aren't enough for you, use WordPress because it integrates well enough Shopify. WordPress also has an eCommerce plugin called WooCommerce, but it's only worth using for smaller stores. It's decent, but WordPress wasn't really built to handle inventory, SKUs, shipping, etc.

I like Big Commerce too. If just need all store, big Commerce has pretty much every kind of add on, drop ship, shipping and inventory management you need. But I'd only use it for full fledged med to large ecommerce operations. It's too much for small business unless you're tech savvy.
