Hello
I have a PE License from CT, which I obtained a while ago but never did engineering in that state as of yet. Do I have to file taxes with CT? i have no other relation whatsoever with CT and had no income from there. All I have is my Professional ENgineer license but I never used it yet.

So let me make sure I have this right:

You are not a resident of the state of CT, not even part-time
You do not own any property in the state of CT, nor are your renting any other sort of physical premises in the state
You have not sold any goods or services in the state of CT
You have not earned any income from any sources within the state of CT

So why would you owe any taxes to the state of CT?

yes correct, why? :))

ok i guess i dont have to , thanks...

i somehow thought that owning an engineer license from there, they would somehow require it, but didnt think so... i asked just to make sure... thanks

The licensure fee you pay is it, for now at least.

Make sure you keep up with any continuing education requirements assuming you want to renew the license when the time comes.
