What I've been doing as a work around is reposting reviews that are on other sites and linking to where the reviews are and where you can leave one. It's not the ideal solution by any means, but since I have reviews spread across 2 different sites it works for now.

However as an ecommerce site I think you need a better solution than that. Some of the ones mentioned above looks like they're worth checking out.

Um, no. Don't do that. Fake reviews on any reputable review service are easily spotted. And it's not worth getting fake reviews on your website. Just play it straight, deliver a good product and service and get real people to sing your praises and give real feedback that will help you grow and improve.

I agree that people can totally tell the difference between real and fake reviews.

You should also investigate using social media profiles to gather reviews. Facebook is the one that comes to mind, they have a nice review function for pages. The issue might be getting it added to your site, adding your Facebook feed from your page is fairly simple, porting over the reviews will most likely be more difficult.

You can go on Freelancer, and just post an ad requesting people to write reviews for you. You can outsource the task pretty cheap, and there are plenty of experienced people there who will bid on a project like that.
