Most use Wordpress because it's ready for seo out of the box. I use wix, it's also decent for seo. but my focus is on my blog. And some of the issues Wordpress creates are too time consuming for me. Wix is a drag and drop system. It also allows me to see my site on mobile devices and change things accordingly.

I used to use WordPress but has changed to Magento for better use. WordPress is great, easy to use and free. However, now I has expanded my site then I had to make Wordpress WooCommerce to Magento migration. If it is said that Wordpress is best for small site, Magento should be concerned to be the most suitable to big site.

I have been helping people in wordpress and magento based online stores. If you are starting your business and you are planning to rely on few items in your store then I will suggest you to use wordpress + woocommerce but if you are an established business and want to go online then Magento is the best secure and multi purpose CMS for you.

We use Wordpress. I think it's a great and versatile CMS.

My choice is Wordpress hands down. I started with joomla but found it somewhat limited. With Wordpress you can find just about everything you need with the plugins that are available. I wouldn't get to stuck on what platform to use per say, just get started building something your business will evolve from there.

I have two sites that I have completed with WordPress with several more to do (probably just about ready to start on the third). I also have one site I maintain that was done with Joomla but built by someone else. I totally hate Joomla with a passion. Whenever I get asked to do an update I cringe. Probably if it was a smaller site it wouldn't be so bad but it is a real pain.

I find Joomla to be more powerful than Wordpress though. The difference is Joomla is more difficult to manage by the owners/clients. Wordpress is easier and SEO focused!

WordPress is OK, but make sure you secure it properly. It is targeted by hackers A LOT!
