    Thank you all for your input. I will be sending in my lawyer to see if they are willing to sell, then go from there. If they are willing, my lawyer suggested that they sign an NDA along with their LOI just while I do due diligence. We will see how it goes. Thanks again!

    I have been through this before with an investor that approached me through a broker. As long as you have a legitimate lawyer and NDA's that protect the information that is given to you, then you should be ok. Anyone serious about selling will give out most of the business information required for due diligence as long as only you and your partners are looking at it. If they are unwilling or trying to get around a few things it would raise some red flags.
