    Default Floridian checkin in!

Hey all, Ive posted a thread or two but figured id make it official in this introduction thread.

I am 26 years old and work as a nurse. I have always wanted to open a business. Ive done tiny things such as ebay sales without much success.

I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital which leaves me with 4 days off per week. I have the time opportunity to start a business. I have money invested in the stock market that I am willing to liquidate to start my business (about 50k).
I have had many ideas, however none have come to fruition. I have always stopped at the research stage in nearly all projects, with a few exceptions (ebay sales)

    Some recent ideas:
-E commerce sales (ebay, Amazon and FBA)
    - Home health care / private duty nursing
    - Food truck
    - Food cart
    -Vending machine company
    -Group home
    -ambulette company

Currently I am researching the requirements to start an ambulette company. There are a handful of roadblocks, from regulatory requirements, red tape, and cost. However I think I will forge ahead and take the leap regardless.

I hope to chronicle my progress, successes and failures (if any ) on this forum.

May the lord have mercy on my soul....

I've seen your other posts and threads but I'll take this opportunity in your official intro thread to officially welcome you.

Welcome to the forum Blackvans1234. Always nice to give you the official welcome so I'm glad you decided to start an intro thread. At some point you're going to have to go past the research stage and start the business, but I certainly understand wanting to do the research first. Just keep in mind you have to start on one of these ideas if you want to run your own business.

An ambulette service sounds like a good match for your experience. Do share your journey and progress. I'm sure we'll learn a lot from your story and maybe help keep you on track here and there.

I look forward to getting to know you and thanks for joining the community.

    Thanks guys!
I have made the conscious decision to be "Okay" with potentially losing my entire investment.

That's a large barrier accomplished IMHO.

Also I've stopped letting excuses, and regulations get me down.

In my line of work I meet many millionaires (usually retired), who were self made. I used to think ''they grew up in a different time, when there wasn't walmart, amazon etc''.
Recently I realized that this thought process is totally nonproductive.
There are ''young people'' making it work in todays world, so its time to stop whining and start doing.
