    Thanks my new friends. It's funny because I like Canada but i have always thought of relocating to the States...and i don't even know why

    Hello, and welcome to the forum. Brad needs more company.

    Tim Hortons has made it to the US, mostly in Michigan, Minnesota and Indiana, so around Chicago you wouldn't have a Tims or a fritter to comfort you.

    I didn't realize Tim's was out of the Great White North. We do have a few of them in Grand Rapids, MI the last few years...one of them only about 7-8 blocks from me. I have a meeting with a client tomorrow at a different location, it's his favorite meeting spot.

    Now that we've gone off topic,

    The original Tim Horton's location is still in operation in Hamilton and was founded in 1964 by hockey player Tim Horton. He never lived long enough to see how big the corporation has grown to as he was killed in a car accident in 1974.
