What is the one thing you would go out and buy tomorrow for your business?

For me it would be a new Walter Helitronic Vision CNC tool grinder - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPy_u-04H2o).

Let's have some fun with this.

A house with a big enough backyard so I can build a mini studio there, about 600sft.
That way I can keep home and office a bit more separate ;)

That's a tough one. I have all of the electronics and software that I need to do the job and then some, so there's not really anything pressing that I want.

I could however go for some new digs.
Been eyeballing some loft condos on Las Vegas Blvd.
Concrete floors. Big windows.
Views of the strip and city.
All luxury amenities, rooftop pool, meeting rooms.
The corner units are big enough to serve as home, office and studio with room to spare.

Back before the crash, corner units facing the south end of the strip (Mandalay Bay to The Stratosphere) were going for $899,000+. But every unit has great views.

They are now significantly cheaper, but still a little pricey for now.

I guess if there were anything, it would be a new home office in that building. I would love to live and work from there.

Dedicated fiber line with a redundant backup. Last time I priced it, it was in the high five to low six figures for installation with me running the trencher...

If money wasn't an issue... I wouldn't need my business.

I think my next splurge might be for a height-adjustable desk, so that I can stand while I work and take a load off my lower back.

I've had my eye on this for a while: Edison Electric Table - ELE-TB | VersaTables.com (http://www.versatables.com/products/electric-lift-table/)

Oh, great, get me all worked up this morning to spend money :p

I like the table, but the monitor arms are limited to 24" monitors, which might not work so well for me in the future (I've had 24" monitors for a long time, and I'm starting to eye 30" monitors.....

I grabbed a 3 monitor stand from Amazon a couple years back for under $70. It's one of the heavy metal ones that attaches/clamps to the back of your desk, so you need a sturdy desk with an area for it to attach to, and I also have it braced against the wall, but it works fine for me.
Amazon.com: Triple LCD Monitor Stand up to 21" Monitors: Computers & Accessories (http://www.amazon.com/Triple-LCD-Monitor-Stand-Monitors/dp/B0023ED22Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1389975064&sr=8-3&keywords=3+monitor+stands)

It works better ( for me) with 2 19" or 20" inch monitors so that I can position the outer ones in a little. Right now I have 3 20" inch monitors on it and it works just fine.

You can get a 2 or 3 monitor stand for around $200 now.
Amazon.com: Ergotech Triple Horizontal LCD Monitor Arm Desk Stand (100-D16-B03): Office Products (http://www.amazon.com/Ergotech-Triple-Horizontal-Monitor-100-D16-B03/dp/B001NPEC5A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1389975064&sr=8-2&keywords=3+monitor+stands)

Unless you just want the the table, in which I understand. It is very nice.

I'm glad you noticed that. I have two 28 in monitors on my desk and I'll never go back to a smaller monitor. I also have one of my pc's tied into a 42 in TV which I like for certain things.

That's a hard question. I'm not sure I could narrow it down to one thing. I can think of plenty of things computer, electronic, and software related, but I like Woz's idea. Might as well go big. I'd go for a new house with a separate building for a studio. Ideally something with inspirational views.

For those of you wanting an adjustable desk, I want one as well, but I think I have a much less expensive option. The idea isn't mine. I saw someone mention this in a comment on an article about an expensive desk. Get a drafting table. You should be able to find that's the right height for standing. Then get a chair that goes with it. When you want to stand you stand. When you want to sit you sit. Instead of raising and lowering the table, just raise and lower yourself into the chair.

In downtown San Diego right on the bay there's this residential building called Harbor Towers. I'd buy the place at the top (full 360 view of San Diego) to live and work. All of the major downtown attractions and eateries are right our the front door.

Here's a link to one that's currently for sale: 100 Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101 (http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/100-Harbor-Dr-San-Diego-CA-92101/2109156216_zpid/)
