This is interesting and different. A British artist by the name of Alex Chinneck turned an abandoned building into a something of a work of art (http://www.fastcodesign.com/3019620/innovation-by-design/floppy-house-abandoned-building-reinvented-with-a-slouchy-facade). You have to see it, but the idea is he recreated the building's facade to make it appear like it apathetically slipped down. Called it Salvador Dali meets British row house.

It's hard to describe, but it's worth clicking the link and checking out the images.

Me too. I enjoy both art and architecture. I'd like to go see the building one day. Something tells me images can't do justice to it.

There's something similar to this in Philadelphia. Near the Casino on the waterfront, some artist took an old abandoned building and covered it in pieces of art featuring typography. Not as cool as the one in the article, but I always liked it.

Do you have a link or maybe know the name so we can search for it? I lived in Philly for a couple of years. I don't recalls this being around when I was there though it was a long time ago and I probably wouldn't have been paying attention.

I know the high-line. I may be in Colorado now, but I started life in New York. I'll be back on the Island in a few weeks to visit family and will spend a day or two in the city while I'm around.

I found another building by the same artist. This one is upside down instead of sliding down. Huh? Wow! Artist Flips A Building Upside Down (http://www.fastcodesign.com/3023489/why-is-this-building-upside-down). I think I like the sliding down building better, but I think seeing one look upside down would get me to do a double take too.
